How exactly did you guys come up with the name The Ghost Wolves? I hear it’s a pretty interesting story.

Carley (guitarist) was raised with a pack of wolf dogs and wolves on her families’ Texas ranch. Her dad would rescue them from people who couldn’t keep them as pets anymore. They’re a big part of her family. When Ice, the oldest male, died right as we were starting our band—we took him as our mascot. Their ghosts haunt the land where they lived.

What would you say to new musicians just starting out that want to make it big one day—any noteworthy advice or words of encouragement?

Do exactly what it is you feel like doing and don’t let anybody tell you how to do it. It’s okay to take advice but you shouldn’t take orders if it’s your music. Just make sure that you are passionate and 100% dedicated to it. There’s no room for half-heartedness in the music world.

How was the band’s overall experience collaborating with Rubber Tracks?

Excellent! 10 out of 10!

How did the Rubber Tracks experience help in the progression of where the band is today?

We actually released the music we recorded with them as secret tracks on our first album. We already had 10 cuts from another studio, so we put the 3 from Rubber Tracks at the end of the album, as a little extra gift to our fans. People loved it. We’ve been selling that album all over the world and we’re glad to have had the experience of working in the Converse studio.
