Which endeavor do you feel closes to right now—modeling or acting?

Definitely acting. I consider myself very fortunate to have worked all over the world as a model. But, I switched my focus to acting a couple of years ago. I actually wish I did that switch a lot sooner.

Does your career make it hard for you to date?

Pretty much. When I was modeling full time I was traveling probably 80% of the time. Now that I’m focused on acting, hardly any of the projects I’ve been working on film in LA. I am out of town almost all the time.

What kind of qualities do you find attractive in a man?

Honesty, kindness, humility and he must love animals too. A six-pack, great eyes and lips don’t hurt either!

How do you stay in such tremendous shape?

I force myself to work out even when I don’t want to—which is most of the time! I always feel great after exercising and have never regretted it!

Animals are extremely important to you. Can you talk a little bit about where that passion comes from?

I’ve always loved animals. I am actually fostering a 5-week-old kitten at the moment.  When he came to me he was about 3 weeks old. He was starving, covered in fleas and had an eye infection. I’ve had him for 2 weeks now and I have been bottle-feeding him and administering medications several times a day. He’s currently flea free, gaining weight with a fat little belly, eyes are open now and his cold is almost gone.  It just makes me happy to hear him purr and see him hop around.

What can others do to help protect and rescue animals?

If you own a pet please spay or neuter it.  If you are thinking of getting a pet please look into adopting from your local shelter or animal rescue.  There are so many wonderful animals in need of safe and loving homes. If you are not in a place to own a pet, but want to help, you can volunteer at your local shelter. Be part of the solution and help end animal homelessness and abuse. There are a ton of wonderful animal organizations out there doing great work.
